Mold Remediation Case Study
Completed a complex four-story mold remediation project without interrupting daily bank operations.
Four Story Banking Facility
Client Situation:
- Needed to complete a very delicate four-story remediation project with no disruption to the bank patrons and employees
- The facility had various building materials and substrate that had previous water damage
- Different areas throughout the bank needed to be addressed as they were uncovered during forensic analysis
- The project needed to be performed with absolutely no chance of cross-contamination or release of contaminated debris
- Schedule was very critical because the building was exposed to the elements during certain phases of the project and needed special attention
Challenges Faced:
- Working at high elevations and controlling debris in strong wind conditions
- Fall protection safety equipment was needed when working on the structure’s exterior
- Flexible scheduling of remediation in case of poor weather conditions
- Bank security was of the utmost concern due to openings left in the structure overnight and for extended periods of time
- Coordinating our work with several other trades in a seamless manner
Results:
- Complete phased work with negative pressure containments as the renovation project progressed at a very aggressive pace
- Completed the project successfully days ahead of schedule
- Not one alarm was set off nor did we hear one complaint from the bank staff during the six- month project
- Completed the exterior wall removal and re-installation without a problem
- The Bank and the consultant were more than pleased with our flexibility, professionalism and our work ethic
