Three Story Stucco Building Remediation
Client Situation:
- Needed to complete a very delicate three-story remediation project without occupant disruption
- The building had various materials and substrate that had previous water damage
- Different exterior areas needed to be addressed as they were uncovered during the stucco removal and the A.E.S. forensic analysis
- The project needed to be performed with absolutely no chance of cross-contamination or release of contaminated debris into the facility
Challenges Faced:
- Working at high elevations and controlling the temperature in our containment to allow for our products to be applied within their specifications
- Coordinating our work with several other trades in a seamless manner
- Fall protection safety equipment was needed when working outside the structure
- Flexible scheduling of remediation in case of poor weather conditions
- Finishing large sections of the building in a short amount of time to allow for the re-insulation and sealing of the building’s exterior
Results:
- Completed work with negative pressure containments as the renovation project progressed at a very aggressive pace
- Performed our work ahead of schedule in order to expedite the re-build
- Protected occupants working on interior projects while completing exterior work with successful containment
- Completed the exterior wall treatment ahead of schedule and free of problems
- The consultant A.E.S. and Opus Construction were more than pleased with our flexibility, professionalism and our cost saving measures
